A TREEHOUSE THEATRE PRODUCTION

WRITTEN BY MADELINE SMITH & NICK BLAEMIRE

DIRECTED & CHOREOGRAPHED BY ROXIE SMITH
MUSIC DIRECTED BY TOM BAROCO

In Disney's Descendants, the offspring of some of Disney's most notorious villains are invited to attend Auradon Prep, a school for the children of heroes and royalty. Mal, the daughter of Maleficent, leads a group of misfit friends - Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen; Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil; and Jay, son of Jafar - as they navigate fitting in and discovering their identities. However, when Mal realizes that being good isn't as easy as it seems, she must decide where her loyalties lie and whether to follow in her mother's wicked footsteps or forge her own path.

Some of his previous roles include Billy Crocker (Anything Goes), Plankton (Spongebob the Musical), Dean Hyde (All Shook Up), and Ensemble in The Great Comet of 1812. He’s looking forward to sharing this show with you all and wants to thank his family and friends for their continuous support.

KATIE OLSON - MALEFICENT

As a former elementary music teacher, assistant director of Pensacola Children’s Chorus, and Director of Worship Arts at Perdido Bay United Methodist Church, music has always been at the forefront of Katie’s life. Usually, the one directing the performances, Katie, is excited to play Maleficent in her third performance with PLT. Previously, she was seen as a stepsister in Cinderella and an ensemble member in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Trying to be good all the time can be exhausting, so I’m glad I get to bring out my evil side in this great role!

Trudy Jenkins, Asherah Whitney, and Mckenzie Norman Price

TRUDY JENKINS - EVIL QUEEN GRIMHILDE

Trudy is delighted to be back on the main stage again in this classic role. It's a family affair with her husband as Assistant Stage Manager, her son - as part of the costume crew, and her daughter - sharing the stage in the ensemble. Trudy was last seen in Legally Blonde and Cinderella. She is thrilled to play with friends old and new in this modern Disney classic.

ASHERAH WHITNEY MATHEWS - CRUELLA DEVILLE

This is Asherah’s first time on the PLT stage, and she is excited to be a part of this amazing theater community. Prior to Disney’s Descendants, Asherah performed in A Christmas Carol, the musical, on a tiny stage in Seguin, Texas, where she rediscovered her love for theater.

MCKENZIE NORMAN PRICE - JAFAR

McKenzie is excited to be in his first Pensacola Little Theatre production at long last. Jafar was one of his first and favorite experiences with villain characters—which are now his favorite characters to play—and he’s thrilled to be performing as him in this production. Some of Mckensie’s other favorite roles include Rod in Avenue Q, Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!, and Mal (not this one) in The Addams Family. He sends his love to John and the Zoo.

Chris Heaney, Jana Miles, and Katelyn Geri

CHRIS HEANEY - KING BEAST

Chris is grateful to be part of another superb cast and a fantastic production team. He was last seen in Legally Blonde and is once again in awe of the youthful talent on the cast, which helps keep him feel much younger than the calendar says he is. Most important to Chris, as a PLT Board Member, is that the patrons who support this show and all that PLT does continue to see our art as the finest they have experienced.

JANA MILES - QUEEN BELLE

Jana has been a proud supporter of the arts in Pensacola for several years as the Pensacola Opera’s videographer, running her photo & video business, Milestones Studios, and volunteering as a techie and photographer for past PLT shows, including Cinderella, Puffs, and The Cat’s Meow. Her recent theatre experience includes performing at The Gordon for the locally written and produced show Evidence! by AJ. Jana is having a blast and is ecstatic to make her PLT MainStage debut in this vibrant musical as Queen Belle!

She will be attending UWF in the fall to pursue a BFA in Design & Technology with an emphasis in costumes and is very excited to see what the future brings!

NOAH MITTS - CHAD

Noah’s natural flair for performance led him to pursue a career in acting, with his breakthrough role as Lord Farquaad in the Dixon After Hours production of Shrek Jr. He has since taken on the role of Sonny in Xanadu Jr and he performs with Pensacola Children’s Chorus. When he’s not on stage, Noah enjoys spending time with loved ones, listening to music (favs include Queen, GnR, Tears for Fears, and the Wonka soundtrack), and watching his favorite movies (Star Wars, My Cousin Vinny, and Wonka). Noah currently resides in Pensacola, FL, and aims to major in Theater Studies, aspiring to become a director and actor.

WINSTON WALKER - DOUG
