From the Director
Teaching and Theatre are two passions for me, and directing Treehouse Theatre gives me a wonderful opportunity to meld the two together. This year has been a challenge for the performing arts and I was excited to tackle this challenge in order to bring this opportunity to the very talented young actors in our community. Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells is a fun heartwarming play that I hope will bring laughter and joy to our community and beyond as we are able to stream to family and friends far and wide.
I have been blessed with an amazing cast and crew to help bring my vision to life. I cannot thank my production team enough for all the time and effort they have put in through the emotional journey we have traveled. Cast and crew have worked hard and faced all the ups and downs of the unique challenges that putting on a production during a pandemic can bring.
Through it all we have strived to find joy and silliness in the antics of Junie B. as she finds the spirit of peace and goodwill.

Our next treehouse production
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Demetrius and Lysander both want Hermia but she only has eyes for Lysander. Bad news is, Hermia's father wants Demetrius for a son-in-law. On the outside is Helena, whose unreturned love burns hot for Demetrius. Hermia and Lysander plan to flee from the city under cover of darkness but are pursued by an enraged Demetrius (who is himself pursued by an enraptured Helena). In the forest, unbeknownst to the mortals, Oberon and Titania (King and Queen of the faeries) are having a spat over a servant boy. The plot twists up when Oberon's head mischief-maker, Puck, runs loose with a flower which causes people to fall in love with the first thing they see upon waking. Throw in a group of labourers preparing a play for the Duke's wedding and the complications become fantastically funny. This Treehouse production is adapted and directed by Ashley McGlothren.
